What a Day!!

What a day!!!! When I woke up this morning, I had decided that I was going to stay home and not do anything but concentrate on getting better. But no, I really wanted to watch the Niners game today that was at 10:30am...so I got myself up and got ready and left to go to my sisters place. Right before I left I decided to text my sister that I was on the way over and she texted me back asking if I was going to go to the Modern to hang out...and thats when it hit me!

I HAD FORGOTTEN!

Passion Roots has planned a hang out day at the Modern Hotel...and we are to go there to hang out. But here is the thing. I don't do people. *laughs* So I was not planning to go...plus I still felt not completely well...and I didn't want to spread my germs. *laughs* [oh my, you thought I was serious when I said that! *laughs*]

Anyways I came and played with DollGirl again who wanted to go to my car and play inside of it. I don't understand why she likes my sitting in my car and just singing, talking, pushing random buttons, and just talk. I love it. She cracks me up and it's our time together. Whenever I come over she likes to go to my car with me and just hang out...yep, just hang out.

Well, when DollGirl and I walked out to my car, my dad decided to fix my windshield wipers because they have been squeaking...well, I can't say squeaking...it was more of a mother pterodactyl screech protecting her babies. It was a loud, horrible, screeching sound whenever I would turn on my wipers. When my dad took out the wipers from the case, he realized that there was only one so since it was time for DollGirl's nap, we put her down and went to the auto shop to get another wiper.

It was hot. There was no wind. It was ridiculously humid. And my daddy and brother helped me out there in the sun trying to figure out the screeching. Because I had assumed that it was my wipers that was making the sounds...but when my dad put the new wipers in, after buying the 2nd one, the sound sounded even louder and obnoxious. So we pour oil on it...used nearly a whole can of WD-40...still it was not working! My dad even said that there was nothing that I could even do to have prevented it...and that it would continue doing that. At first I was getting upset because I had come over to town so that I can watch the game...this car thing was taking FOREVER! But then I realized that I could use this time to spend time with my dad. So I went back into the house drank a nice big cup of water and got some for my dad...and yes, checked the game. :) We were doing good. :) We ended up giving up on the car because we couldn't do anything about it...so my dad said to let it soak in and maybe by the time I go home, it would be all good. :)

Then I went in (with a huge headache), and watched the rest of the game with...

...my lil DolGirl! Look at her check smile! And look at the score! Yep! We did good. :) I have to admit though during the last quarter I could really really tell the Cowboys were trying...but check this out!

We won! By more than 10 points! Yay! Afterwards, I really wanted to just take a nap because my head was pounding and I still was feeling unwell, but then my friend Evelyn asked me if I was going to go to the Modern to meet up with everyone. At first, I told her that i wasn't to sure about going...but then my sister called and told me that she would like it very much if I came.

I'm not the best when it comes to being around a lot of people...and then this was a luxury hotel and I knew that there was going to be A LOT of people there! My sister told me that they had reserved cabanas near the pool for just us...and its as only Shilhi, Karine, and her that were there, but Ivy just got there and was going to be there for an hour...and the rest of the team wouldn't be able to make it since it was a last minute thing...and so I was like, fine, what harm can it do if I go?

So, I called Evelyn that I changed my mind again and decided to go. We got K.Neal to bring us to drop us off since parking is a bitch there...and Evelyn's husband, Nick, picked us up a few hours later. And let me tell you! I was so happy then I went.

There were a lot of people there, but Ivy was still there when I came...and that girl is like a piece of sunshine...one of the sweetest, most genuine girl's I know! And no one really bothered us. There was a lanai party going on upstairs...something for Ms. Hawaii 2014...and a bikini contest of something...that was entertaining to watch! *laugh* And it also helped that I did have a spiked espresso iced-coffee...and that was SUPER yummy and got me out of my shell for a bit. *laughs* I don't normally like using pools, because I'm more of an ocean kind of girl...but the water was nice...and its a really nice all around relaxing few hours that I was so appreciative that I had.

It was funny though because it was more of a chilling like kind of pool...and there was this one guy who was trying to swim laps...and splashing everyone! And yes we were looking at him like was crazy! I mean, I guess you can swim laps if you wanted...but it was more of a "lets chill" kind of pool...and here is this guy who was trying...and mind you I really mean it when I say TRYING, to do the butterfly...it was quite funny. :) But get this...I have NEVER encountered this before...but there was MUSIC in the pool! Yes, IN the pool...there was music from the party that was going on. But when you are submerged in the pool there was soft, light music that was playing! That was really cool! :)

Like I said in the beginning, what a day! :) It was one of those days that I was glad that I didn't decide to just vege out at home doing nothing...because I had an amazing day. Oh yeah, and at the end of the day when I drove home, I tried my windshield wipers and guess what?! They didn't work at all! And so, I was like wtf?! So, I called my daddy and he came and out and looked at it...fixed something...and now I can't wait until it rains...because they work QUIETLY now. Yep, you can't hear them anymore. :) Pretty cool, yeah?!

It's the little things in life that makes you smile...the little random, thoughtful things that people do with no expectation that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy when you find out...the little things.

Silly Girl.

I ended up going to church today...and when I got home I literally knocked out. I wasn't feeling all that good, but then I really needed to see my DollGirl...I just needed to so badly so I ended up going to church. Pastor Tim is a really good pastor; he is very passionate about what he talks about...and it shows. :)

Well, I ended up sitting with my whole family...I sat in-between K.Neal and Amanda...but then DollGirl kept moving all over the place but she was mostly playing with me. She makes me so happy...and I love her so much.

She is such a smart cookie. Whenever I go over to her place and she sees my chapstick, she knows to give it back to me. She knows the difference between my things and everyone else things...it's funny because if we put our things down...you will hear DollGirl calling your name out with you things in her hands so that she can give it to you because she thinks that you might have forgotten your things...so we have learned to put our things up where she can't reach it no matter what she might bring over to stand on! :) It's not that she wants to play with our things, she just wants to always give us our things back.

There are times where I think that I have misplaced something and I would ask DollGirl where my    ________ is...and she goes, "Oh!" and she runs and goes to get it. It's so cute. And I think that it's super hilarious when she steals someones chair. :)

Today she decided that she wanted to make one of my chopstick's look "pretty"...and so for a few moments she sat quietly on the ground and proceeded to place stickers on my chapstick of the day. :) So now when I use it, I can look at it and smile knowing that my lil DollgGirl made it a point to make my chapstick "pretty" just for me. :)

Happy Birthday Rose!

Wow, I am NOT feeling well! All week actually I have been trying to ignore the fact that I might be coming down with something...but I seriously can not ignore it anymore. I really think that I might have something. I was hoping that the fact that I use to work in a preschool, it helped my immune system so when I came to the new school I wouldn't get sick...but I still got something...hopefully it's only a day thing or something...but I really doubt it because I have been feeling crappy since Wednesday actually.

I knocked out yesterday after I wrote that last post...and I didn't wake up until 3:30am to take a shower. And sleep again before using nearly all my energy to roll out of bed to go to work today. I don't think that I've ever called in sick before, and I wasn't going to start at this new place...plus, even though I feel like I'm a deaths door, I know that I'm not...so I know that I'll be alright. I do have to say that I do feel a LOT better than I did this morning.

Well, guess what!? When I came home from work I, I saw that I got a package from 50th State of Mind! My order finally came and I am SOOO excited! I hope that it's both orders. I ended up ordering two different times, but it would be nice if I got both orders. :)

So before knocking out once again, I want to share what I got in the mail with you. :)

At first I was like, WoW! Such a big box for my order, I know that I didn't get THAT much things! :)

Then I saw that for some reason they decided to put a box in a box...weird. I have no idea. :)

I am soooo appreciated of them because they gave me A LOT of extra stickers and tags and I adore my racer backs and I LOVE my new hat...and I even got a shirt for my brother! :)

Sadly though, I won't be knocking out when I finish this post, I will actually be writing them because they forgot one of my racer backs! I hope that it was just a mistake or something. No hate though because I know that Jordan (the founder and owner of 50th State of Mind) does everything by himself or little help and I know that things could get mixed up or thing. So I'll write him...but...

...other than that I am excited with my whole order and love everything!! :) Definitely will order again when they get more hats! I love his hat designs! I think that is like my 4th hat from them. :) Uh-oh...a feel an addiction coming up! *laughs*

Well, I need to go write Jordan about the missing shirt...and then knock out. Oh! I just got a text from my brother-in-law...he wants me to go to church tomorrow in Kaneohe. Hm...if I feel better tomorrow, I'll go...if not, I'll just rest.

Oh wait! One more thing! It's BabyGirl's birthday today! I can't believe that she is now 15 years old! She is getting to be a beautiful girl inside and out...and I love her! I already called and texted her Happy Birthday...but I do miss her and love her so much...I hope she knows that and that she can feel the positive vibes that I'm sending her. :)

Jezz.

After work today I went to meet up with my friend, Jessica to go running...and it was my first time seeing my former keiki...and I really did try hard to avoid seeing them because I have heard that they were having a hard time adjusting to the fact that I was not there. I miss them something awful, but I know that I need to stay out of their way for awhile if I want them to get used the fact that I am not their teacher anymore. That was hard.

But I did meet up with Jessica to go running around the lake. I still do my runs at Lanikai...but I know that I want to stay in touch with Jezz and all of them...so I will go out of my way to spend time with them. So, since Jezz doesn't really like running all that much...I ended up running the lake and then going back and running back to find Jezz and walked until we got back to the school. So I have to say that I'm pretty proud of myself for being able to do that!

After that we waiting until Jackie and Lek (who doesn't work there anymore but she was doing hours for her school) and we went to have dinner at L&L...and I have to say that it was so good to be with them again. I miss them. But it really was good to see them and hang out with them again. :)

I think that if I don't have to go to work, I want to go running/walking with Jezz every Thursday...so at least we can spend time and catch up with our week. So it's a plan. :)

Mermaid Sisters.

I forgot to mention yesterday that I met up with my friend Ashley after work. I was so good to see her. One thing that I like about this new place is that I can have my phone with me, and so texting Ash every so often really helped a lot when I would start missing her and everyone. It's going to take time getting used to everything new...but I think that I'm getting there...but for now, I was so glad that I saw Ash.

I needed to go to Ben Franklin's Craft...and so since I knew that it was just down the street from where the school is, I told her to come and meet and me we will grab something to eat before she went to go pick up her boys.

I love how at Ben Frankin's they have this area in from of the store they sell local craft and jewelry and I love looking at what they had...and guess what we saw?! We saw mermaid bangles! And so we got matching mermaid bangles!

Of course, Ash only wears gold...as for me, I don't mind as long as I like it...and so she got a gold one and I got the copper one...and so we took a picture of it together. Dig our nails?! :)

Oh my goodness...I miss this girl already. I know for sure we need to hang out more!

Today, I had 10 kids come in. I think it's going to look like on Tuesdays and Thrusdays I will have 4 kids and on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I will have 10 kids...and so I got to meet EVERYONE today...and I have to say that I have a good, smart bunch. I do love how I can understand them when they talk! And boy, do they LOVE to talk! I love it...but one thing that I need to change is that they don't really like to sing! I so need to change that! I like to sing and so my goal is to get them to sing more. That is one thing I loved about my 2's is that I would hear them singing randomly and it is my goal to get my new kids to sing too. :)

Popping Candy.

I woke up this morning in tears. Such a horrible way to wake up! But what I couldn't figure out was if it was a dream that disappeared the second I opened my eyes, the realization of not going back to my "former" keiki, or tears of excitement for this new chapter in my life. I think that it was all of the above. I thought that I wouldn't be able to go to sleep because I was actually kind of nervous because I had no idea what to expect and what was expected of me! But I woke up at 4:30am like I do every morning...did my morning work out, tried to calm my nerves, read some, and then got ready.

Oh yeah, I can't forget. One of my former keiki gave me candy before leaving himself to a different school. We had the same last day last Friday. And we all know that I have a HUGE sweet tooth...so yes, I did it! This morning I ate the popping candy that he gave me. Basically same thing as Pop Rocks candy. And it was that extra push to face this day head on. :)

Today was not that bad. I had three kids show up. So it was a pretty easy day. I do have to admit that I really, really, REALLY miss working with the toddlers and twos already. And I hope that one day I will be able to work with that age group again because I really do love that age.

Today I just concentrated on getting to know the parents and the kids. I need to remember their names! Oh, and I had such a pleasant surprise today! It totally melted my heart and I am so glad that it happened because I don't have the words to describe what my heart is feeling right now. But I do know that it is hurting. I miss my keiki so much...but my new ones are just are precious. No doubt for sure.

But I am blessed to have a little girl in my class that is cousins with a former keiki of mine. And while the kids were getting picked up, I looked up and saw this familiar figure...when our eyes met my little Zane's face melted into a look of shock and excitement as he ran up to me calling "my Charity!" over and over again...and it made my heart so warm. I miss him so much and it was so good to see him again. It made my heart break a little when he put his little arms around my neck and squeeze his hardest and them pull away, looked around confused and asked me, "Where's my Ashley?" Oh my, how my heart broke. Ashley is my good friend who I use to work with at the other site. All three of us got really close when Ash was my teacher's assistant. And we would call each other "My Zane," "My Ashley," "My Charity."...and he must have been so confused because he didn't recognize the place and his "My Ashley" was not around and I had to explain to him that I went to a new school and I was now his cousin's teacher. And my heart smiled a sad smile when he pushed his cousin away and said, "No, my Charity." Of course, I had to tell him that I will always be his Charity, but I was now ****'s teacher now. But I was smiling inside. :)

I had a good first day, and I can tell that I am going to like this place despite it being extremely different from what I'm used to. But I'll get the hang if it eventually. Day one down...I got this.

For you Aubrey.

Rabbit! Rabbit! Well, actually my brother got me first. :) But I know that I'm going to need all the luck and prayers and positive vibes this month. I am excited. I am sad. I am filled with emotion...so what do I go and do?! I paint my nails. :) Painting my nails is like my therapy. I have no problem admitting that I am a girlie-girl and I love my nails done.

Right before I left one of my former keiki [wow, why did my heart just twist something awful when I just said that?!] gave me a huge hug...looked at my nails and told me that she wanted butterflies. She is one that sees to see if I painted my nails...EVERY DAY. She also loves to have her nails painted and she always runs to show me, and she knows that my favorite color is pink, so she is always excited to show me her pink nails. And she loves it when my nails are done in something she suggests. Her favorite thing she likes to tell me is rainbow and/or butterflies. And so these nails are for her. Plus, it's good because...butterflies represent change...and most definitely this is a change this moment in my life.

I think that "my" lil Aubrey would love these. I need to make a point to stop by the school one day this week to show her. She would love them. I can only hope that my new kids will like my nails as well...well, they don't have too, it's more like mine and my former keikis thing anyways...but I wouldn't mind if they liked my nails too. But these nails are for my former keikis, for new beginnings, for change, for me.
