Fun Day! :)

Today started really, super early. Well, not that early, but early enough for a weekend that's for sure! Earlier this week, my sister had sent out a text saying that her in-laws were in town and they wanted to go to the JW Marriot Ihilani to do have brunch there. I love it down there...if it wasn't so far away from my family, I would love to find a place there and live there. Well, and if I had a job there too, I would HATE to commute everyday. But it is beautiful there...and so at 7:30am in the morning Amanda, my brother, and I made our way over to my sister's place to meet up with everyone.

And I have to say that it was a really yummy brunch. It was so good to just be with family. I love how my mom and dad are here now. Even though I don't see them all the time, because they are staying with my sister, it feels good to know that they are just 20 minutes away from me instead of miles and miles and across the ocean away. And I get to see them more often than not...and I am happy for that. I don't want them to go away again. Hopefully they will stay. But I was also glad that my sister's in-laws were here as well because they are sweet, loving people and always so good to see them.

After we ate we decided to go to the lagoons and chill there for awhile.

While trying to get a perfect picture of the place, my brother decided to get in the way. *laughs* So there he is trying to take a panoramic picture of the beautiful place. :)

As we were taking pictures, DollGirl was busy collecting baby coconut looking things...actually they just look like ginormous acorns! *laughs* She ended up collecting plenty of those baby coconuts...silly girl. :)

So there she is playing with her baby coconuts and my brother busy taking pictures of the lagoon. :)

And here she is telling me, "Aunty water please!" This girl was born to be a mermaid! :) Just like her Aunty. :) She loved swimming in the water with her grandpa, papa, and Aunty...she really just loves the water...the little water baby! :)

After our fun time at the beach we went home to wait for the Niner's game to come on. I don't really want to talk about the game because in my opinion...we threw the game away...we should have won that game...but we didn't...and I hope we do better next time.

But before the game Mandy, Jem, and I decided to do some light shopping because they will be doing their engagement pictures next weekend and they wanted to go and get some outfits for it. I won't give anything away by telling you what they bought, you will just have to wait until they pictures go public. :)

But I needed to stop at Macy's anyways to pick up some stuff at Clinique...

I simply love their Clarifying Lotion. It really makes my face feel clean and fresh...I got the big bottle of it...hopefully it will last a long time. But we will see. :)

And I also grabbed more of my top favorite eyeliner. I love this eye-liner. Long time ago, my friend Melissa introduced me this eyeliner...and ever since then, this is a staple that I use nearly every day. I do have other eyeliners that I use as well, but this one is the one that I like the best. :)

I qualified to get a freebie! Well actually it was suppose to be three freebies but they ran out of the moisturizer...but that's okay...I have plenty. :)

While my brother went into the Window's store, I went next to to Bath & Body Works and grabbed me some car air fresheners. My sister had given me the cutest pink elephant air freshener case thingy...and so these are just refills. I love the smell of Caribbean Escape...and I also think the Frosted Cupcake would smell super yummy! And you can NEVER go wrong with Sweet Pea. :)

And last, but not least we stopped at Old Navy and I got me some shorts for school...and you can NEVER have to many slippers. :)

We stopped at Taste Tea and went back to my sister's place and watch the mind breaking Niners game and finally I am home and writing this post. And as soon as I'm done I will "go" to school. But for now, let me just take the time to say...today was a beautiful day. The sun was out...only few clouds in the sky...and I was with family. It was perfect and beautiful. :)

What a Day!!

What a day!!!! When I woke up this morning, I had decided that I was going to stay home and not do anything but concentrate on getting better. But no, I really wanted to watch the Niners game today that was at 10:30am...so I got myself up and got ready and left to go to my sisters place. Right before I left I decided to text my sister that I was on the way over and she texted me back asking if I was going to go to the Modern to hang out...and thats when it hit me!

I HAD FORGOTTEN!

Passion Roots has planned a hang out day at the Modern Hotel...and we are to go there to hang out. But here is the thing. I don't do people. *laughs* So I was not planning to go...plus I still felt not completely well...and I didn't want to spread my germs. *laughs* [oh my, you thought I was serious when I said that! *laughs*]

Anyways I came and played with DollGirl again who wanted to go to my car and play inside of it. I don't understand why she likes my sitting in my car and just singing, talking, pushing random buttons, and just talk. I love it. She cracks me up and it's our time together. Whenever I come over she likes to go to my car with me and just hang out...yep, just hang out.

Well, when DollGirl and I walked out to my car, my dad decided to fix my windshield wipers because they have been squeaking...well, I can't say squeaking...it was more of a mother pterodactyl screech protecting her babies. It was a loud, horrible, screeching sound whenever I would turn on my wipers. When my dad took out the wipers from the case, he realized that there was only one so since it was time for DollGirl's nap, we put her down and went to the auto shop to get another wiper.

It was hot. There was no wind. It was ridiculously humid. And my daddy and brother helped me out there in the sun trying to figure out the screeching. Because I had assumed that it was my wipers that was making the sounds...but when my dad put the new wipers in, after buying the 2nd one, the sound sounded even louder and obnoxious. So we pour oil on it...used nearly a whole can of WD-40...still it was not working! My dad even said that there was nothing that I could even do to have prevented it...and that it would continue doing that. At first I was getting upset because I had come over to town so that I can watch the game...this car thing was taking FOREVER! But then I realized that I could use this time to spend time with my dad. So I went back into the house drank a nice big cup of water and got some for my dad...and yes, checked the game. :) We were doing good. :) We ended up giving up on the car because we couldn't do anything about it...so my dad said to let it soak in and maybe by the time I go home, it would be all good. :)

Then I went in (with a huge headache), and watched the rest of the game with...

...my lil DolGirl! Look at her check smile! And look at the score! Yep! We did good. :) I have to admit though during the last quarter I could really really tell the Cowboys were trying...but check this out!

We won! By more than 10 points! Yay! Afterwards, I really wanted to just take a nap because my head was pounding and I still was feeling unwell, but then my friend Evelyn asked me if I was going to go to the Modern to meet up with everyone. At first, I told her that i wasn't to sure about going...but then my sister called and told me that she would like it very much if I came.

I'm not the best when it comes to being around a lot of people...and then this was a luxury hotel and I knew that there was going to be A LOT of people there! My sister told me that they had reserved cabanas near the pool for just us...and its as only Shilhi, Karine, and her that were there, but Ivy just got there and was going to be there for an hour...and the rest of the team wouldn't be able to make it since it was a last minute thing...and so I was like, fine, what harm can it do if I go?

So, I called Evelyn that I changed my mind again and decided to go. We got K.Neal to bring us to drop us off since parking is a bitch there...and Evelyn's husband, Nick, picked us up a few hours later. And let me tell you! I was so happy then I went.

There were a lot of people there, but Ivy was still there when I came...and that girl is like a piece of sunshine...one of the sweetest, most genuine girl's I know! And no one really bothered us. There was a lanai party going on upstairs...something for Ms. Hawaii 2014...and a bikini contest of something...that was entertaining to watch! *laugh* And it also helped that I did have a spiked espresso iced-coffee...and that was SUPER yummy and got me out of my shell for a bit. *laughs* I don't normally like using pools, because I'm more of an ocean kind of girl...but the water was nice...and its a really nice all around relaxing few hours that I was so appreciative that I had.

It was funny though because it was more of a chilling like kind of pool...and there was this one guy who was trying to swim laps...and splashing everyone! And yes we were looking at him like was crazy! I mean, I guess you can swim laps if you wanted...but it was more of a "lets chill" kind of pool...and here is this guy who was trying...and mind you I really mean it when I say TRYING, to do the butterfly...it was quite funny. :) But get this...I have NEVER encountered this before...but there was MUSIC in the pool! Yes, IN the pool...there was music from the party that was going on. But when you are submerged in the pool there was soft, light music that was playing! That was really cool! :)

Like I said in the beginning, what a day! :) It was one of those days that I was glad that I didn't decide to just vege out at home doing nothing...because I had an amazing day. Oh yeah, and at the end of the day when I drove home, I tried my windshield wipers and guess what?! They didn't work at all! And so, I was like wtf?! So, I called my daddy and he came and out and looked at it...fixed something...and now I can't wait until it rains...because they work QUIETLY now. Yep, you can't hear them anymore. :) Pretty cool, yeah?!

It's the little things in life that makes you smile...the little random, thoughtful things that people do with no expectation that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy when you find out...the little things.

Fun stuff.

When I came home for a moment, I saw that I got a package in the mail. I love when I get something in the mail...even if I was the one who bought it. I love getting something in the mail...because it's like a surprise...and I so needed a pick-me-up after yesterday...and even though I'm not home at the moment to enjoy my new nightlight...I am still excited about my new nightlight.

So I did some light research and came up with this:

And since I have been needing a new nightlight, well I don't really NEED a new one, but I had wanted to move my other nightlight to a different place...so I needed another one in my room. So, look what I got myself.

So I have not been able to set it up yet, but when I get home I'll be able to set it up. If I really like it, I might get another one.

Well, next week...guess who is playing a game against the Dallas Cowboys?! Yep! And so I got myself some cute earrings for myself.

I really like them and I can't wait until I can wear them...! GOOOOO NINERRRS! :)

Oh my days.

Oh goodness! So I knew waking up that this day would be a LONG day....but I was ready to tackle this day! Because I'm just cool like that. :) So, I woke up at around 5:50am to the wonderful smell of Cinnamon rolls baking in the oven! My sister knew that Amanda and I were going to wake up early to go to her jogathon that was happening early this morning. Oh yeah, we all spend the night at my sister house...so we were all there. My brother, Amanda, and I. My brothers went to go bike riding and Amanda and I took off to her schools jogathon.

SOO dark still that you can't even see my shoes...couldn't turn the light on coz I didn't want to wake everyone else up!

Just a little past six and this isn't even when I woke up! AND on a Sunday too; I should be sleeping in! *laughs*

So, we got to Kaiser Highschool in Hawai'i Kai at around 7:10...and Amanda and I started our day. It was a lot of fun...! So Amanda's school had a jogathon which lasted around two hours. I ended up being a counter. Meaning to say that I was to count the laps the her class did. It. Was. Hot. But it was so worth it because it was fun watching and cheering the little kiddos on! I was doing the 2nd graders...and they did a really good job! I am so proud of them! I had to keep moving myself because my shoes kept sticking to the ground if I stayed still so long! It was that hot...it got hot fast too! But everyone had fun and it was good.

When I got home I was sooo tired and I was starting to get a headache. I think it was because I didn't have my first coffee a black coffee. I ended up getting a Java Chip Frap from Starbucks...and then also I really did try drinking lots of water in the hot sun, but I don't think that it was enough so I get dehydrated and so when I got back to my sisters house I drowned myself in water and took a nap because the big game.

The 49ers and Seahawk game started at 1:30pm, so I was able to wake up myself to watch the game. I am sad. I am a Niners fan...it's all good...better luck next year...right?! So, Neal and I were a little bit bummed about the game (and I know a lot of other people were too! Come one now..BAD CALLS! BAD SPORTSMANSHIP! Just bad, bad, bad!!) so we ended up going out to eat at California Pizza Kitchen in Ala Moana.

It was a definitely a better experience than we had the last time we went to CPK! But I had my BBQ Chicken Pizza...put me in a better mood. I like Pizza. *laughs*

I also tried their Peach Lemonade...and I think that it's safe to say that I have a new favorite drink! *laughs* It was so yummy...a little on the tart and sour side...but wow, it was SOOO yummy. AND unimited refills...that was amazing! :)

Well, after we ate, we walked around a bit and I saw that Bath and Body Works was having a sale! So of course, I adore this store so I couldn't help myself and bought myself some stuff! So, all this was suppose to value at $60...but I only spent $20! I am excited...I always use the little hand sanitizers ALL. THE. TIME! I have to, working with kids is like that. I may not be a germaphobe...but I do get paranoid about all the germs that linger around the preschool! Plus, I need to watch myself because I don't want to get sick and see my lil DollGirl sick and get her sick...so I like to use A LOT of those hand sanitizers.

LOOK! They even threw in a free lotion to boot! Yay for Bath and Body Works! I use to go here all the time on the mainland...but here in Hawai'i it's soooo far and so now I only go every so often...so I try to stock on on things that I know that I use a lot.

But tomorrow we don't have school in honor if Martin Luther King, Jr....so I'm staying the night at my sisters and we will see what we will do tomorrow.
