Incoming Postcards!

This very amazing and beautiful postcard of the gorgeous, mysterious ocean came to me from Germany. It traveled 12 days to get to me and if I had room on my walls for a picture, I would blow this postcard picture up and frame it! :)

This beautiful postcard was sent from Portugal and also took 12 days to get to me. I love it! I just love ocean shots! :)

Sending a piece of me to Russia.

I am sending a set of three postcards to Russia. I "met" this girl through postcrossing when she sent me a beautiful postcard and she had written on the postcard a message that was so vivid in the writing that it impelled me to write her back in the same fashion when I thanked her for the postcard that she sent me. We have been emailing back and for every so often since and so I decided that I wanted to send her something to smile the way she did when she sent me a fun postcard!

Here is the first postcard that I am sending her. She had written me that she loves vintage looking poastcards and that was on the top of the list of the kind of postcards that she liked to receive, so I decided to make sure that she gets at least one vintage postcard from me! :)

Alexandra also mentioned to me that she loves seeing the creatures of the ocean. So I had to send her one with this breaching whale. I told her that I love whale watching and I don't think I'll ever get over the awestruck-ness of seeing such a magnificent creature in person in their natural habitat! :)

And lastlly, I am sending her one of my favorite postcards from Hawai'i. The picture postcard of this beach...I see this view often when I am driving Makapu'u side...and it's always so gorgeous! I did draw her a picture on this one since she mentioned that she loved the ocean as much as I did...:)

Postcards from around the world!

 

This cute square postcard is from Melissa of the Philippines. She is currently the only one that continues to send me postcards and as long as she sends me postcards, I will send her one too. :) I love this quote is printed on the front of this postcard.  "Everyday may not be good...but there is something good in every day." I love that. And it's a quote that I think you should always keep in mind. :)

Last month the last postcrosser that I sent a postcard to for the year of 2016, I ended up sending her not one but 3 postcards and she was so thankful that she wanted to send me a postcard! And this is the postcard from Martina of Germany! She is so sweet! I really hope that one day she will achieve her dream of coming here to Hawai'i. I think that I will add her on the list of sending her a postcard again...I love to send "smiles" out and she wrote that she keeps the three that I sent her next to her bed so that she can see them when she first gets up in the morning. :) I love this postcard that she sent me. So sweet and lovely. :)

Poastcrossing: Incoming!

This postcard full of flowers traveled 29 days to get to me from France! A family sent me this postcard and wrote, "we thought you will enjoy these flowers from our territory. Maybe they an inspire your creations." That is super sweet! I like sweet and thoughtful people! :)

When I saw this postcard, I instantly thought of my KaiBoy! He has a thing for owls at the moment. :) But this owl postcard traveled 18 days to get to me from Belarus. The young lady who sent me this postcard claimed that this is one of the first postcards that she is sending out through postcrossing! I think that is pretty awesome!

MILANO! I would LOVE one day to visit this exact spot that is pictured on this postcard! This postcard was a direct swap with Gabriele of Italy. He seems like a real nice guy! He joked that since I wanted to go there and he wanted to come here, we could switch lives for a day! :) Would I?! I don't know...I don't know what he does...but I sure would LOVE to go exploring in his neck of the woods! :)

This postcard looks like a Polaroid picture of Spray (majorica) roses that are in full bloom! Beautiful! This is a direct swap from Malaysia! My "lil sister" Melissa goes there often with her mom since her mom is Malaysian...so it was super cool to get this postcard from there! :)

The world coming to me in postcards! :)

This cute and lovable polar bear postcard comes to me from Germany! It took 13 days to get to me and Kris, the postcrosser who sent me this lovely postcard, wrote that "over [there] the meadows are frozen and white at the moment." That must looks amazing! :)

How funny is the mail system! This postcard is also from Germany, however it traveled 24 days to get to me [the previous postcard took only 13 days!] However, that could be different factors as well. But however long it took to get to me, I am so glad that I got it! :) I think that it was pretty sweet that they added the shiny washi tape! LOVE it! :)

This here is a direct swap from Slovakia from a really nice lady named Natalie. I adore the blue skies and the different views of this country! This postcard made me want to see more of it, and so I looked up this country, and wow...a VERY beautiful country!

This gorgeous flower arrangement postcard was sent to me from Netherlands!I love thoughtful gesture of sending flowers! :) This took 25 days to get to me.

Greetings from Canada!

I super enjoy this adorable polar bear postcard from Canada! I love also how the postcrosser added some facts about the polar bear! That was really sweet of the postcrosser! It also only took 10 days to get to me! Awesome! :) I love Canada...and I hope that one day I can visit there!

Card from Netherlands.

This gorgeous card traveled 20 days from Netherlands from a very sweet lady named Karin. I was surprised because I like postcards from my postcrossing fellows, but the fact that she put the time and thought into making this card for me because she really liked my name means a lot. She said that she likes to make cards for people around the world so that they can smile when they open the envelope. I'm not sure how I feel about getting cards when I expect postcards from Postcrossing...but I'm not a hater, and I do appreciate the fact that Karin made this for me. She also took the time to write a sweet message in the card...and it's pink, so how can I NOT like it! :) She mentioned that her daughter will be getting married next year and asked if I had any tips for her...and so I just told her to tell her daughter to enjoy being engaged and to not get to caught up in all the wedding-planning drama. Enjoy it. :) She also wrote that she enjoyed traveling and that she had been to Orlando, FL...and really enjoyed it. I'm glad that she was able to come to my country and enjoy herself. I love my country as well. But I have to admit, it would be pretty awesome if I could visit the Netherlands one day...oh, those flower fields! :)

This King Kamehameha postcard will be on it's way to the beautiful country of India to a gentleman named Rizwan. He is interested in geology and that's what he wanted...something that has to do with volcanoes, caves, rocks, minerals, and such...but he also said that he wanted "royal King Queen Prince Princess"...and so I wanted to send him this postcard...this beautiful postcard of King Kamehameha. I told him a little bit about me and that I wanted to visit his beautiful country one of these days!

I had ordered this postcard from online...I didn't realize that it came with THIRTY of the same postcard! But that's okay...because it's one of my favorite prints! :) And this particular postcard will be making it's way to Jane of Tennessee!! I actually like it when I get the address of another fellow American! Each state is unique...and I would love to one day go to every state in the United States...:) But this one is going to Jane who loves, really loves vintage postcards! She mentioned it a few times in her profile how much she loves vintage postcards, so I decided to send her one! I hope she enjoys this one! :)

I just prepared for two more cards to go out into the world. One is the postcard that I got from my first Pipsticks subscription. I had meant to send it off a long time ago, but then when I opened my planner while I was in school to see what I needed to get done, it had fallen out and I can't believe that I hadn't sent it off yet!

It will be going to my very own cousin back in California...I miss her a lot and I hope that she enjoys this surprise. I especially love the front of the card! "YOU are amazing." And she is an amazing, strong, and big-hearted person that I am so proud to call MY cousin. I really do like this Pipsticks subscription, and I encourage you, if you have a love of stickers, to also subscribe to Pipsticks! There are a few different plans that you can subscribe to. I had just talked to my cousin about planners and journals and how she loves to also decorate her planners/journals with stickers and so I think that she will like this subscription box. Plus, it's always good to have a reminder that "you are amazing!"

This postcard will be going to Victoria in Ukraine. She had a long list of the postcards that she wanted...and as I was going down the list, I had to admit that I was getting worried, because I didn't have any of the postcards that she wanted! But then near the end of her long, very specific, list she mentioned that she didn't mind receiving "greetings from..." cards. I have a few of those. "Aloha from..."...basically means the same as "Greetings from..." :) So I am so glad that I picked up this postcard the other day! Some of the VERY specific postcards that she asked for were: bicycles with flowers, banks with sweets, Rubik's Cube, A Fairy Alphabet by C.-M. Barker, photo of clover, pictures with tree (not a photo), whales (picture, not photo). I didn't really understand what she meant when she would say things like "picture, not photo"...I guess she really didn't want a photo, but she wanted a picture?! I don't know. I also had a hard time trying to figure out what to write on the back! I did tell her a bit about the things I do to de-stress (go to the beach, read, write, sing) since it's been stressful lately since school had started up again. But I said a prayer for her and I hope that she enjoys the postcard that I'm sending her tomorrow! Oh yeah, she did mention that she loves sweets and such so I purposely placed one of my "sweet" stamps on it...I mean, who doesn't like ice cream?! :)

I might have a slight obsession with postcards now. :) They are just so much fun and the postcards here in Hawai'i are so pretty! :) I may or may not have been able to hold myself back when I had to stop by the grocery store to pick up something for my DollGirl's party yesterday and I passed by the postcard stand. But look at them...they are so pretty. And I didn't have anymore of the Lanikai ones...and I like those ones. :)

Plus, it was good that I picked up this batch of postcards, because in it was the perfect one for the next addressed that popped up on my screen for the next postcrosser to receive a postcard from me. :)

This gentleman is from Germany and he is a German engineer in automotive business for BMW. He said that he was interested in all kinds of postcards, especially ones that had "lighthouses, water towers...trains, planes, ships, machines, historic pictures, bridges and buildings." When I read that part of his profile, I knew that he would also enjoy a picture of our Aloha Towers...it's a water tower, right? I mentioned to him in the postcard that this was the exact place that I went to when I went whale watching. This was the place where we all met up and marked the place where our cruise ship was going to leave the dock...so I hope that he likes is!

I also got two more postcards when I got home! I really am enjoying getting all these postcards!

 

This cute badger postcard is from Veronica in Belarus. It took 31 days to get to me. I'm glad that I did get a postcard from here so that I can see how long it would take to get to me. I had sent one to Belarus about 30 days ago, and I was getting worried that it was getting to the postcrosser...but now that I got this one, I see that it takes a little bit longer...so I'll just wait a little bit longer until I direct message the postcrosser to see if she had received it already. But this is a cute postcard...with an adorable stamp!

 

This awesome postcard with a lot of stamps on a postbox is from Sylvia from The Netherlands! She lives in the highest point of their country in Vaalserverg..and I did look up pictures of the place...and wow! That is some pretty gorgeous views! So many GREEN, GREEN rolling hills. Beautiful. Gorgeous.
