Birchbox July 2016: My Morning Routine.

Birchbox is a beauty subscription box that is $10/month. I highly recommend you to subscribe to this box subscription if you would like to explained your experimentation of beauty care products. I have to say that since I have been subscribed to this box, it has not been all sugar and spice, but I have found plenty of new beautify care products that I've liked and added to my collection of things that I use. If you would like to subscribe to this box, please click here and enjoy! :)

I am sad to say that this will will be my box from Birchbox. I have been with them for over two years hoping that somehow, maybe that the shipping of their products can come here to Hawai'i. I love this subscription because it introduces me to facial care and make up products that I wouldn't have known about on my own. However, the only downside that I can say about this place is that since I live in Hawai'i, they are not allowed to ship certain products to me, even though they were able to ship it to me in my birchbox subscription. And the reason why I held out for so long with this subscription, was because I really liked them...and I was hopeful that one day they would be able to send me the products that I realized that I liked through the subscription. I didn't really see a point in continuing with them for as long as I lived in Hawai'i...and since I have learned to love this place, I had to cancel, and so I reluctantly decided to cancel my subscription. But I would still recommend this subscription. :)

So without further ado, here is the review of my last Birchbox subscription. (And yes, I am sorry that I haven't been keeping up with all the reviews this past year!)

I have to say that I am going to miss getting this little pink box in my mailbox! It's always fun to get a package after a long day of work. And it's a plus for me since my favorite color is pink! :)

I really do like how each time they send you a box, the box is always has a unique design to it! Not only that but they are really sturdy like boxes that you can use for other things! I like to bring these boxes to school and use them for different storage things. Very useful boxes. :)

So, this is what it looked like when I first opened my box. I am sad that they did do away with the brightly colored tissue paper, because I can always that again for whatever craft work, not they put a spongy black thingy that sheds little black things. But that's okay.

"Hello world Lets do this!-This month is about the things that get you up and at 'em. Fittingly, we're spotlighting the product our subscribers say they won't leave the house without: mascara. We hope your new mascara helps your ace the day a little more bright-eyed...."

I like how they have this card that tells you a bit about the things that you have in your box for the month. It's always helpful to know what the things are, because there have been time where I was wondering what something was.

This bright, silvery sample caught my attention first! It is the  Dr. Jart + Water Drop Hydrating Moisturizer. I really like using coconut oil and essential oils as my go-to daily moisturizer...however, I have to say that I really did like this moisturizer. It was really light and it didn't feel heavy at all...throughout the whole day.

This is the featured product in this month's box. And I have to say that I am in-love with this product. Smashbox Cosmetics X-Rated Macara. I love the brand Smashbox and nearly all it's products. I feel like this mascara does it all, thickens, lengthens, and magnifies your lashes. Rarely clumps and is one of my top favorite mascaras.

I tend to favor dark reds and bright reds when it comes to lip color and so this color, which was bright pink against my skin was a miss for me. Other than that, I liked the way that this felt on my lips and a little goes a LONG way. This is the LOC Ultra-Gloss Lip Pencil.

I'm not the biggest fan of perfume samples in my subscription, but every so often I do like the samples that I do get. This one is one of them...I put this one in my bag so that I can use it when ever I need something that smells light and "clean." Clean Air Eau de Parfum Spray.

Balance Me Radiance Face Mask. Everyone knows that I love face masks...but because I have used my share of face masks, I have realize that I have become a face mask snob. I'm not that bad though...just that I know what I want my face to feel like after I remove the mask...and I have to say that even though it was a different brand, I feel like this is a generic kind of mask. It did do it's job and I thoroughly enjoyed using it, but I wouldn't go out and get it.

Well, that was the last sample that I got from my box this month. I am going to say that I am going to miss getting this subscription and getting introduced to new products...but hopefully one day I can resubscribe when they can ship to Hawai'i. But for now, goodbye Birchbox! It was amazing while it lasted! :)

Birchbox October 2014: Obsessed.

I finally got my Birchbox for this month yesterday, but since it was such a busy and chaotic day, I wasn't able to open it until today! :) It came one day earlier than it did last month. I was hoping that I would be getting my box earlier in the month, but it's all good...it still came and that is good enough for me. I wasn't able to pick any of the samples this month because when I got the link in my email, the link wasn't working properly and I didn't have time at the moment to figure out what was wrong with it until later that night (I received the email right when was about to walk out my door for work) and by that time there was no more option to pick something...oh well...at least I got my box and I'm happy about it.

I am always excited to get my PINK Birchbox every month. It truly is a surprise in the mail...1) I don't know when it will come, 2) a package in the mail is always fun, 3) I don't know what I'm getting until I open it! :) Surprises all around! :)

It always makes me smile to see how they describe me. I love how they do this, and I truly hope that people do notice that they do that instead of just tearing open their boxes right when they get it...because it's a smile shared...:)

As always, a box in a box! I need to figure out what to do with all the boxes that I have! I could probably use them around my preschool classroom or something. :) They are very good and sturdy boxes. :)

This month's theme is "Obsessed. Addicted. Can't get enough. Hold my calls." That is a long theme title thingy! *laughs* "Whether you're excited about blockbuster season, eking out about fall TV premieres, or searching for a new soundtrack, everyone has a fan in them. This month, we're sharing our passions-and we want you to share yours!"

I love how they put this in the box...just so that I know what I'm getting, how to use it, and if I do buy something, I would know how much it would cost.

Right under that initial card was this card.

....hm...there are several things that I can put in that blank! Nailpolish...fruit smoothies...music, to name three! :)

When I pulled aside the beautiful pink tissue paper, here is what I saw.

suki: exfoliate foaming cleanser (full size $32.95) It smells amazing! The sample size is super tiny...perfect enough for a one time use. Then you have a tiny container to use! :)

It looks pretty cool from the outside looking in...and when you open it, it smells delicious! :)

BeeKind: Body Lotion (full size $15) It has an extremely slight tea scent (I am guessing that that is the chamomile extract)...and it is super light, but if feels fully moisturizing!

Next for my little purple box!

More perfume! Clean: Rain Eau de Parfum (full size $69) It smells "clean" and I wouldn't go out and buy it for myself...but I wouldn't mind receiving this a gift or something. I would wear it for causal wear or something.

Dr. Lipp: Original Nipple Balm for Lips (full size $14.50) When I first saw this in my box, I had to recheck my profile questioner thingy! I'm pretty sure there is no where there that ask if I was nursing! But then the card reads: "What: Originally made for nursing moms, this ultra hydrating balm is a makeup artist fave." Makes me wonder why it would be a "makeup artist fave." "How: Dab onto parched lips, cuticles, and elbows as needed." Interesting. Maybe I'll try it...maybe I'll give it away?

ModelCo: Powerlash High Impact black Mascara (Full size $20) Can't have to much mascara...or can you?! I have so many now...I might gift this one away...but I also might keep it. :)

Well, that was it for my Birchbox! Wasn't super excited about anything in it...but there is always next month. Hopefully, I'll get nail polish! There is always hope! :)

Thursday's Events.

I already know that I will be doing several blog posts on just today...it was just that kind of day! *laughs* So many things happened today and I didn't want to just skim over some of the things that happened and I didn't want to just talk about one thing...I wanted to document my whole day because its as such an amazing day today! But I know that I'm super tired and so I will post tomorrow the details, and right now I just want to blog about a "jist" of what happened. It was a fun day. :)

My day started early because we had a field trip to the Kailua Fire Station!! It was so much fun and very informational! I was talking to my boss and I was telling her I do not even remember going to the fire station before...not ever...even when I was younger. I think they just always came to my school or something, so going to the fire station was just as exciting for me as it was to the kids! :)

After the fire station, we all came back to school and while the kids went to sleep, I decided to make sensory colored bottles for my kids! They are super into finding all colors at the randomest places and things ever! And I am always encouraging the kids to "color" their world with imagination...and it's so cute to hear them tell the other kids in the school. "You need to color the world with imagination." *laughs* It's cute. :)

I had to rush home because I had a VERY important appointment later and I had to leave the house at 4:00pm...and I'm pau with work at 3:30pm...and that is IF all the parents come to pick their children on time and whether or not they want to do small talk. *laughs* But when I got home, I pulled up nearly the same time as my housemate...and we both squealed and laughed when we saw each other and rushed into the house to get ready for our "appointment." But before I ran into the house, I grabbed the mail, and this beautiful pink box was waiting for me!

It was hard to wait to open it. I knew that if I opened it right then and there, I knew that I would be rushing to get ready for our important "appointment"...so I had to set it aside to open for later. I actually still haven't opened it...it's sitting behind me on the stool that I took a picture of it on. *laughs.* I will open it tomorrow and post my review about it then. :)

And now...for the very important appointment. Look where I went.

Can you guess?! Do you know where it is?! Mandy had an appointment at David's Bridal to try on wedding dresses! And yes, that was a very important appointment and I was to happy that she asked me to go with her! :) It was amazingly fun and I am so happy for her. I'm still smiling about everything! :)

Lastly, we went to La Tour Cafe for dinner and macaroons...oh my days! I love this place! :)

So much happened today that I don't want to forget...and I wish that this day could last forever...it was such a heartwarming day...and I loved it. :)

But for now, world, goodnight. :)

Birchbox September 2014: Fresh Paint.

Birchbox is a beauty subscription box that is $10/month. I highly recommend you to subscribe to this box subscription if you would like to expand your experimentation of beauty care products. I have to say that since I have been subscribed to this box, it has not been all sugar and spice, but I have found plenty of new beauty care products that I've liked and added to my collection. If you would like to subscribe to this box, please click here and enjoy! :)

FINALLY! My Birchbox for this month came and even though I will say that I was waiting and waiting for it and I was disappointed that it has come to this again where I will be getting my box more towards the end of the month. BUT, when I saw everything that I got, I dismissed my disappointment because I am super excited about EVERYTHING that I got in my box this month! I can't wait to share it with you and so without anymore delays, I present to you my Birchbox for this month!

As always, I was surprised with this beautiful pink box in my mailbox. I can not event tell you how excited I get when I see packages for me...much more if it's in my favorite color! Such a happy color and I hope that they never change the color! :)

This month makes four years for Birchbox and so I'm guessing that that is the reason that the box looks completely different than the past boxes...but I am NOT complaining. I love it! I simply love this design of this gorgeous, fun box!

This month's theme is Fresh Paint. The first sentence says, "September means turning the page on summer, and diving into fall's colors, textures, and inspiration." Love it. :)

And this is all the products that  I got in my box this month! I swear I did not read it before looking at all my stuff! :)

Because it is their anniversary month, they added this card informing that I am "the best"...*laughs* and that they have an offer of an Anniversary Bonus Box...the sad thing is I tried to buy stuff of the website, but they were saying that they can't ship "hazardous" material here to Hawaii...and so the things that I wanted, they weren't able to send to me. I am going to write them though because the things that I wanted was some of the things that I previously got in my boxes, so I don't understand how the cyan not send it to me when they send me samples in my box! But we will see...but this card and offer was nice of them. :)

When I pulled the beautiful pink tissue paper aside, this is what I saw...so since you can't really see what I got, I organized it a bit better and took another picture. :)

First though!? Wow! I feel like I got a lot more stuff! And the sample sizes are amazing! I love it! I'm excited to go through what each item is, because I feel like I'm going to really like all my stuff. Oh and, really?! I got CHAPSTICK! I am a chapstick addict and so I'm SUPER stoked for that one! :)

The first things that I noticed was this Macadamia Professional Healing Oil Spray (Full-size $14.50-$29.50) I love it. I just used some on my hair right now, since I just took a shower, and I have to say the second that I sprayed it on, which by the way, a little goes a LOOOOOONG way!...but as I was saying, the second I put it on, my hair immediately felt super soft! And that is saying a lot because I have naturally soft, silky hair, even when I get out of the shower...and when I can notice that a product did something to my hair that enhances it's natural state, that is a good thing! :) The smell though...it was NOT the best smell. If only it didn't smell so nutty, I wouldn't think twice about purchasing this one. But as it is, I just might because I love how it makes my hair feel! We will see.

I know that this is a Birchbox Find...meaning that it is a sample that doesn't count to my usual samples, but I can't help but pick this one to look at because I LOVE CHAPSTICK! The product and this ChapStick brand is my favorite brand of chapstick ever! I have always used this brand...and I love it. I do use other brands, but I have at least 2 ChapStick's in my bag and one in my pocket. I can't wait to try this one...it does have a new look though and it's a lot longer than the normal one...but no complaints...can't wait to try this one! :)

Tocca: Crema da Mano-Bianca (full-size $10) I am ALWAYS down to have lotion, which is pretty weird since I live here in HI now and I don't really need the lotion, but it's a habit that I don't mind to get rid of. I love lotion. This one does not leave you greasy feeling and the smell is definitely not strong.

Temptu: S/B Highlighter in Champagne Shimmer (Full-size $27.50) This was the smallest sample in my box this month...but I figured that a little goes a LONG way. I could use this...

The little box inside was a bright, bright green this month. I would love to have a nail polish this color. :)

There was two items inside the bright green box...the first thing that I pulled out was this Avene: Cleanser Soap-Free Gel Cleanser (full-size $20). I LOVE the sample size...pretty big and I can imagine using a few times before it goes gone. Wouldn't mind trying this one either.

I was completely captivated by the adorable packaging for the sample of this perfume! It is SOOO cute! I love it! Harvey Prince: Hello (Full-size $55) I love this scent! I tend to favor the fruity scent...and this one smells yummy. :)

Yes, overall, I am extremely excited and happy with what I got in my box this month! Love it! Thanks Birchbox! Until next time....:)

More Surprises. :)

My days...I just keep getting things in the mail that makes me smile! :) Today I saw this when I went to get my mail.

At first I was kind of confused because I knew that I didn't order anything from them except for my month box subscription that I get...but I usually don't get those until the end of month. But when I opened it and saw this...

I remembered now why! I had gotten an email a few days earlier last month saying that they sent me the wrong sample for my hair in my last box! I did try it though...and I didn't feel like it did anything to my hair...so I didn't even finish the sample even though it is very a tiny vial...so maybe this one will make a difference in my hair...we will see. I had totally forgotten about that too! And so that was nice of Birchbox to admit their mistake and correct it. I like that a lot.

I also got my first magazine from Women's Health! Remember in the July's Birchbox they sent me a free year subscription to this magazine and I got my first one today! I like Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting too! So I'm glad that she is on the cover of this month's magazine. :) My brothers got in watching The Big Bang Theory...and that is where I feel in-love with her...plus she is gorgeous. :)

I like how in this issue they added something extra...a Fall Style Guide with 150+ fashion ideas. :)

I use to love reading through magazines...but i haven't had time lately, but I know that definitely when I have time, I will be looking and flipping through the magazine to see what it's all about and maybe rip out some inspiration to put on my wall. :)
