New Journal: Adventure Art Journal.

One of the things that I want to do more of is to go intentionally exploring. I have always loved to go exploring...even if it was just in my backyard with my dog as my companion. :) But I have always loved to go exploring. I decided that this year I wanted to have a journal that is solely dedicated to my adventures and exploring escapades that I go on!

When I saw this journal online, I knew that this was it! I love the color of it, and i love love love the compass that is on the front cover! I knew that this would make a perfect Adventure Art Journal. It's not a huge journal, but it's big enough to make collages and entries of the fun days that I want to have more of. I can't wait to intentionally plan days just to go exploring...getting in the car and just driving somewhere new because I know that on this island there are places to be seen and explored. I want to do more outer island traveling as well. I want to go on the outer islands as much as I can, because I can and because each Hawai'ian island is different from each other. I am excited because I know that I will be going to Big Island soon...and I SO CAN'T WAIT! :)

So, here is starting my adventure in big beautiful places! I can't wait! Let the adventures begin! :)

New Planner: Law of Attraction.

I was going back and forth whether or not I was going to buy another Passion Planner...compact one, to bring around with me. I already knew that I was going to remain loyal to my favorite planner, but then when I received the classic Passion Planner, I knew that there was NO way that I was going to be taking that around with me! It is SUPER huge to be in my bag (even though I am known for my "suitcase" like bags that I like to "truck" around!) So I decided to go with this Law of Attraction planner, which is still a bit larger than I am used to carrying around, but I do carry it in my teacher bag...so at least I have that.

I have heard a lot of great things about this planner. A lot of people say that it's similar to the Passion Planner. (But I believe that that Passion Planner came out first). Here's what I say to that though, I think ALL planners are similar! I mean, they are all planners for crying out loud! :)

I did notice that this planner is thicker than most planners that I have had....so I decided to take some pictures of the inside to show you around this planner that I am coming to love. :)

I can see why people are saying that this planner and the Passion Planner are similar. They both encourage "road maps" of goals in your life and they do have the journal pages between months and stuff...but, like I said, each planner is unique and also the same to each other since they all serve one purpose...to be used as a tool to help people organize their lives...daily, monthly, and yearly...I mean, how many ways can you make a planner...?!

This pictures is of the weekly spread. I did get the undated version...which I should have read the fine print when I bought this planner...I think that I would have liked a dated one, but that's okay. I am getting more comfortable making my own planner stickers. Nothing fancy...but it does that I need them to do. :)

I decided to keep this planner pretty straight forward and simple. I made stickers for the whole month of January already...and I think that I like how it turned out!

This is the first week before the stickers...and just so you know what it looks like before any plans are written out.

And here is my spread up-to-date and then some. I like to plan out my week and then cross and change and make adjustments where it is needed so this week is all planned out already. This planner will be traveling back and forth with me from school and home and other. I can't always keep it in my bag, but it is more portable and smaller than my Passion Planner...and I like it. :)

New years door.

I went to school today to fix up my classroom up for the new year before school starts again. I took down the Christmas decor and put up ones for the new year. I love my chalk board door...I designed something to greet the parents and children on the first day of the new year...and I also did some of my other chalk boards around my classroom. I think I hurt my back though, because I can feel it twinging a little. I hope that it doesn't because a huge flair up. I think I have chronic back pains that happen every so often...so as soon as I finish this post, I am going to soak in a warm/hot bath and then go lay down and hope that it doesn't get even worse! Well, yay to a fixed up classroom! Now I don't have to worry about it when the kids come in the for the first day.

Commit 20 Review.

Back a few months ago, I had the honor of backing a kickstarter project and was able to receive this Commit 30 planner. I have decided to use this planner a "to-do" list planner...and utilize it like that.

I love the gold color...and so I decided to ask for the gold planner.

This planner helps you "commit" yourself to a activity that you want to create into a habit. I thought that I would try this planner to see if I can help myself stick to certain form fitting habits.

This year I do want to explore more...so I decided to create a collage of exploring! :)

So, this is how it looks like inside. I wanted to make stickers for this planner so I took some time to figure out how I wanted to categorize these boxes and columns.

So, here it is...! Home, work, personal were the categorize that chose...and on the bottom a section for blog, goals, and money....so I can see how much money I have been spending daily. This was my last week in this planner.

Before the pen: Jan 02-Jan 08.

I LOVE the stickers that I used in this layout! I love the color combinations of pink, white, black...and anything with gold! I love flowers. I love stripes. I love polka dots. I love this whole layout! Although this is my second week using this classic planner, I feel like as if it's new, new, new....maybe its because its a new year...and I am glad that I get to use this beautiful layout! It's my last week of break...and so I have a lot of things planned that I want to do before school starts again. But here is to the first full week of the new year!

I thought that it would be fun to take a picture and post up the first entry I had last year in my compact Passion Planner! I had gone back to California for the holidays and so I was still there for a part of it...and it made me smile to see that at this time last year, I was with my best friend. :)

Happy New Years!

I thought for the first time in days, I wasn't going to be able to stay up until midnight...but who was I do kid, of course, I was going to stay up...my body won't let me go to sleep! But it's the new year now...and I am excited for what is to come. I know that I am going to try my best to be better than I was last year. And that is all the resolution that I am going to make. To be better than I was last year.

My landlady had told me about "Da Lanikai Loop" activities on today, and so I sat and watched the parade that happened around the loop. It wasn't the longest parade, but it was fun to watch. You don't really see anything in the picture, because I didn't have my phone ready for pictures, because I was enjoying saying hi to the people in the parade! But can you see how beautiful the day is! I love how gorgeous the weather...so yes, I decided to pay the beach a visit, and although there was more people than I liked, it was so worth it. :)

After the pen: Dec. 26-Jan. 01.

This was a trial run with my full classic size Passion Planner...I had to see how I liked this. I was also trying this out with the layout and how I was going to use this planner...and I think that I like how this is going. There are a few things that I might change up, and new stickers that I want to make, and just the things that I want to put in here.

And here it is! Here is the "after the pen" entry! I like it...I feel like I have to re-access how I am going to use this planner since I feel like I am not using it to the best of what I can. But I like how I am incorporating post-its...and I really like how the planner is larger and has more room so that I can put that section where I place the post-its. I really disliked how in the compact my post-its would cover the things that I wrote, but this way, it doesn't. I like how I  can see everything that I write. So, I would say, yes, I like this size planner...takes getting used to, but I think that I will adapt to it well.

Oh yeah, I use this planner as my master planner and I leave it at home...I plan for it to keep me grounded whenever I come home. I sit down with it for a bit before work and I look and add to it when I get home. I think I like how that works.
